I will stamp all over 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex two-time unified title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters met for the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
